Treasure

It's been a while since I last posted. It has been a busy time of year. In the midst of the busyness, Deonne and I spent almost a week at a beach house with our sons, daughter-in-laws, and a grand daughter. The beach was cold and windy, but we had a great time inside playing games and talking. There is nothing like being together, enjoying each other's company, talking, having meals together, and playing together.

Relationships are more important than things. Material goods are useful in living in this life, but its relationships that are eternal. We will leave all our accumulated wealth and treasures behind. Our true treasure is what we store up in heaven.
  • Matt. 6:19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
I know where I want my heart.
